Coming back to your health

I’d like to teach you a little bit about how to come back to your health, and to the health of the people around you.

What does health mean? Is it just not being sick? Is that the whole picture?

So my question to you is this: how do you notice you’re getting sick? How do you observe it in yourself, and how do you observe it in somebody else? What are the points you gauge? The energy, the vitality, the anxiety? The symptoms — phlegm, a fever, something in the stomach? A mind that is disturbed and anxious? All of this is a human being. All of this is a plant, an animal. The whole is what we are looking at.

It is about observation. What happened to this person, or to me, that we need to look at? What are the details? What is the connection point?

And the most important thing here is feeling. How are we feeling the symptoms? How are we feeling emotionally, socially? All of these elements are telling us about our state of being. When we start to feel, our perception opens up, and with it the capacity to observe and to care for ourselves and for our family. That is a massive difference in how we treat ourselves. Not only what we take, but how we go about it.

We have the freedom to choose

What do we put into our body to orient it towards health? We are human beings with the freedom to choose. What we eat, what we do, where we live, what we do with our time, how we make our money, what we put inside our bodies. We can choose natural food and natural remedies, or we can choose conventional drugs, or recreational drugs, to ease our suffering.

Is it all about easing the suffering? Yes, it is. And homeopathic remedies can help our body recognize the suffering and move with it. Not fixing it. Not ignoring it. Moving with it. What is that symptom bringing into perspective, so I can take care of myself, and eventually take care of the others, take care of my family?

I’m Raquel. I have worked as a homeopath for the past six years, and hundreds of clients and families have come to me for help. I can say that homeopathic remedies have helped them in many different ways. Some people needed help with fevers and colds. Some with chronic problems — the circulation, the immune system. Many came with emotional blockages: I’m not evolving the way I need to, I’m not working with what I want, I’m afraid. All of this can be helped.

What homeopathy is

Homeopathy is an amazing form of medicine that comes from the laws of nature: like cures like. A similar thing comes into your body to help whatever is working in there to let go. Yes — it is about letting go.

We stimulate the body with elements that come from nature. A feather. Milk. Hair. Flowers, plants, roots, minerals, a piece of wood, rain. We can even make a remedy of the moon or the sun. Each one is made in a very specific way: we triturate, we make a tincture, and from that a dilution.

Our bodies are here to evolve. We are here on earth to develop, to open portals. Homeopathic remedies are a very good way to empower us to go through our portals and do what we are here to do, and to bring our family into the same alignment, the same capacity.

A few things to bring together:

What to use depends on what you are producing as a symptom, and on how you are feeling that symptom.

When to use it depends on how often you need it — how acute, how chronic, how intense, or how mellow it is. Sometimes you need only an activation.

Why — we are trying to activate your vital force. The vital force is the energy that comes through and regulates your vitality. It helps you to cope and to recover. It is the opening of your capacity, and I want it to open with grace, letting your body pass gently through things.

So we open the capacity to feel. We feel in. And as you start using remedies, this becomes a form of intelligence in your body. You start to think differently, to observe people differently, to relate to what happens in a different way.

It is not about fixing. Not “I need to fix my child, my husband, myself. I need to find something that makes us do what I want.” That controlling way takes us nowhere. It won’t bring healing, because control is already part of the disease. It is about flowing, and about embodying one understanding: that we are here to be healthy.

Our body was created from the first cells connecting and multiplying. It holds the blueprint of every organ and every system — what was created first, and why, and where. Our body carries a memory of healing. We can reach it through embodiment, through homeopathic remedies, and through imagining and feeling the life we want. What an amazing moment to be alive, when we can bring all of these together and embrace our lives, our sufferings, and our moments.

Homeopathic remedies are a major way to connect to your true self. Not the only way. But a very important one, and I am here to teach it, because it is truly empowering.

My story

I was raised in the eighties, a long time of antibiotics, of tests, of doctors and surgeries. So my story is about why I bring a holistic and homeopathic approach into my life and into the life of my children. I have four children. I homeschool them. I work as a homeopath and as an embodiment researcher, and I bring movement, creation, health and wealth into one system that can help you produce the life you want.

Before I tell you mine, I invite you to think of yours. What happened in your life when you were a child? An accident, a disease, something that kept coming back. And how was it treated? Did you feel empowered by it, or did it take your power away? Because how we treat something is what comes out of it. When we understand a disease, or a moment in time, fully and holistically, we find tools to navigate it in a much more connected way. Even if it changes you — even if you don’t have the same ability as before — you still have a way to create good out of it. It becomes a life force. You had to mature, to go through the pain, to be creative, to rise above yourself to heal. That is how many people have created new techniques, new ways of moving, new businesses, new ways of living.

And when we start treating symptoms with heavy drugs and become dependent on them — or dependent on the doctors, on the testing — we start giving our power away. I’m not saying we never need a drug or a doctor. We do. We are an integrated community with so much good to offer. But we bring those resources in to feed ourselves, and we keep checking back: how much do I need this? How much don’t I need this? Always checking back with yourself.

So. I used to have sore throats. Really bad ones. I couldn’t swallow, I could barely breathe, I had high fevers. My family would take me straight to the emergency room and they would give me a shot of penicillin. My tonsils were so swollen that for a day or two I could hardly swallow my own saliva. That was what was available. There were not many holistic doctors around, and the new medicine had taken over our communities. So we went to the ER, and the ER had antibiotics and Tylenol. “You’ll feel better soon.” And I did. Until a cold passed by me, or a very hot day followed by air conditioning, and my throat would swell again. That happened many, many, many times. We went to many doctors — this one is amazing, let’s try that one — and everybody did the same thing.

Until somebody said: we can do nothing more for you. The tonsils have to come out.

I was eighteen, and I trusted. When I was lying in the surgery bed, the nurse asked me, “Are you here for your adenoids?” “No — I’m here for my tonsils.” “Oh yes, that’s right.” Imagine waking up from surgery on the wrong part of me.

I went under. I woke up and threw up a lot of blood. I couldn’t eat. I lost my voice. And my mother, who was there beside me, lost hers the same day. You see how things are connected. The gateways of my immune system were right there, and they were taken out, almost in the wrong surgery, and my mother lost her voice with me.

Then they decided my wisdom teeth would come out at any time and disturb my other teeth, so they took all four at once. The surgeon was a very big man who sang opera while he worked on my mouth. Again I lost my voice. Again I lost the ability to communicate. I wasn’t able to say no, because I thought people knew best. My mom believed it, I trusted it, I went for it.

I still have pain where that surgery was. I have a big smile and plenty of room in my mouth — I had space for my wisdom teeth. I miss them. I want them here with me, chewing better, without the leftover jaw pain and the empty places. And I want my tonsils — that empowered voice, that empowered immune system. But I don’t have them. They were taken away because the medicine being used was not the right medicine for that.

I’m telling you, there are such good tools for this in homeopathy. If I had only known a homeopath at that time who could have said: use Hepar sulph, sweetheart. Use Mercurius solubilis. Use Lachesis. Use Belladonna. I believe I would not have needed the surgery, or the years of suffering, or so many rounds of antibiotics that wore down the lining of my stomach. I still feel that in my gut today.

The whole system gets disturbed by the amount of drugs we take because we don’t know better. And the doctors don’t know better either, because that is what they were taught. They were not yet taught herbs, or nutrition, or homeopathy. But we are here to share the good news, so they can use homeopathic remedies together with all their clinical experience.

Healing the voice

What I feel is that all of this gathered around my communication. It took me a long time to express myself through my voice. I went into movement, into painting, and I love those. But it is just as important to be able to communicate your feelings, your boundaries, and your knowledge — to pass on the information, to pass on the transformation.

Healing this voice has been a big part of my journey, from young until here. My body was trying to express something for a very long time, and it took me long to understand what, so I could use it for my life’s work.

Now I communicate with my four children and my husband while we build our house in the beautiful woods. We communicate with the land, with nature, with each other. And I am here, communicating with you. The transformation is always asking to come through.

An invitation

How do we reveal the child that is still in us? How do we connect to our childhood, to that small person we were, and to the diseases that came through us trying to bring us into the embodied life we are living now? Not judging anybody — everybody did their best.

What is still stuck? What was suppressed — by you, by our families, by our communities, by our social behaviors, by the drugs we took, by a relationship that silenced you? It can be one thing. It can be many. Whatever was suppressed is an invitation to reconnect.

This is my invitation to you: reconnect to what you need to express, so you can become your full self and be more present. In being creative. In being free. In the health and the wealth you are here for, and in the ultimate expression of your heartfelt connection with your family, your relationships, and yourself.

I am so excited to keep teaching you. You can find me at homeopathyechoes.com, where I teach classes and offer private consultations. Let’s go deeper, further, and beyond the systems that suppressed us — into full expression.

With sweetness,

Raquel
